About

Currently Head Of Animation at Moving Picture Company in Adelaide, Australia, I’ve been in the industry for over 25 years and have worked on 20 feature films including Finch, which won the VES award for Outstanding Animated Character in a Photoreal Feature in 2022.

Another highlight of my career was joining Pixar Animation Studios in March 2006 as an animator for the Academy award-winning feature ‘Ratatouille’. I went on to animate on four more Oscar winners for Pixar, Wall-E, UP, Toy Story 3 and Brave.

I began my 3D career at WETA as a Compositor / Technical Director on Peter Jackson’s feature film ‘The Frighteners’ in 1995 before moving to the US to work for George Lucas’s games company LucasArts. There I helped produce 3 titles including “Grim Fandango” and “The Phantom Menace” in which I was Lead Animator. Moving to Tippett Studio I became Animation Lead on “Evolution” and “Blade II” and then Animation Supervisor on “Matrix III” and “Constantine”.

Born in Australia, I grew up in New Zealand. After finishing high school, I returned to Australia and attended Film School at Perth School of Art and Design studying Film and Television and Animation. I have since taught animation at The Academy of Arts in San Francisco and presented in Moscow, Annecy and Sydney before returning to Perth to take up a lecturing position at Murdoch University in the areas of 3D animation and Conceptual Design from 2011 to 2018.
